The Health and Safety at Work etc. Act 1974 and the Management of Health and Safety at Work Regulations 1999 places legal obligations and responsibilities on employers, for those that might be affected by the Company's undertakings. The law applies to all businesses, whether they are a small private company or a large global concern.
Regulation 5 of the Management of Health and Safety at Work Regulations 1999, requires organisations to create and implement an effective and systematic approach to the management of health and safety, which includes appropriate arrangements for planning, organising, controlling, monitoring and reviewing preventative and protective measures. These arrangements must be recorded in writing where five or more people are employed.
